LEAD thieves have targeted another local church.
Police are attractive for advice just after lead to the value of lbs 800 was taken from the roof of St John The Evangelist Church, on Denton See, Chopwell, in Gateshead.
Raiders targeted the village church involving 7am on Friday, June 3, and 7pm on Sunday, June five. Police are operating in partnership with regional scrap metal dealers and carrying out operations with other companies to clampdown on metal thefts who are plaguing churches and other properties across the area.
