A Guy has been charged with stealing metal from a South Tyneside hospital roof.
Alan Maclean, 32, of Sutton Way, Jarrow, is charged with stealing a quantity of copper from the roof of Palmers Hospital in Station Street, Jarrow, on Sunday.
He is because of to seem at South Tyneside Magistrates' Court on June 28 accused of theft.
Police are taking no additional action in regards to a 26-12 months-outdated woman also arrested on suspicion of theft.
Ian King, neighbourhood inspector for Jarrow, explained: "We will continue to target these men and women who we suspect are concerned in metal thefts.
"And we will take action the place proper.
